Zeke Anders is a S. Korean-born, Detroit-based filmmaker, commercial director, cinematographer and travel photographer. He has earned top honors worldwide including two International Clio Awards, inclusion in Shoot’s 19th Annual New Directors Showcase, and a One Show Yellow Pencil in 2023.
Zeke’s brand work includes campaigns for OATLY, JBL, PLANTE MORAN, HP and CORE POWER to name a few and has been featured in publications such as Daily Voice Seoul, NBC, NPR, Esquire, Hypebeast, Huffington Post, CBS, and Mzansi Live! S. Africa among others. His film projects have been official selections in The Worldfest Houston, Lift-Off Berlin Film Festival, Mirada Corta Film Festival, Flagstaff Int’l Film Fest and the New York Film Festival plus others.
In 2019, Zeke photographed the infamous/viral sensational faux lookbook, FARMLAND x SUPREME in a strategic marketing rebuttal after the unauthorized use of Farmland’s logo. He followed up that hilarious moment with 2021’s sobering pandemic PSA - a hypnotic and self-reflective film, WHEN THE MOTOR STOPS, urging people to shelter in place. It was a global sensation and cities around the world made their own versions of the film. “Stay Safe, Detroit gets everything right. It is the flat-out masterpiece, the first pandemic commercial to qualify as a beautiful work of art.” ~The San Francisco Chronicle | Datebook.
With a deep passion for the outdoors and travel, Zeke merges the art of travel x street photography by capturing the landscapes and humanity of life both far and near. He has traveled to Estonia, Costa Rica, Sweden, into the heart of the Yucatan peninsula Mexico, Peru and most recently Patagonia.
You will rarely ever find Zeke without a camera strapped to his side. He gets incredible inspiration exploring new cultures and documenting the beauty of the human condition.
